Forks Over Knives Is Missing Something

This movie is amazing the research and stories of changed lives leaves many who see it with a strong desire to change their lives. Which is really the goal of the movie and our goal with this blog, However No matter how compelling and factual the information presented many people will not make a successful change to a plant-based diet.
It is much like the warning on cigarette packages. For more than 40 years the Surgeon General of the Untied States has required warnings on Cigarette packages that smoking causes cancer yet millions of Americans still smoke. Why?
Unfortunately, I think we are going to run into the same problem with the Forks over Knives movie. The information is true and right…compelling even, yet the change is hard for people to make.
I made the change about 15 years ago and it was not an easy one. I want to help to give people tools to make the change. Good simple recipes that the whole family will eat. Tips and ideas about what they can put on the family table amidst a busy lifestyle. Assurance that their family is getting a balanced diet without the meat and dairy they usually eat.
But most of all I want people to know they are not a failure if they eat a “hand full of jelly beans” or even go to McDonalds for a Happy Meal. The change to a plant-based diet is a process, it does not happen overnight. It is one meal at time and every little bit you do to get healthier will be rewarded!
